The Role

The Duty Supervisor role sits within the Property Services team and reports into the Site Manager and is based on site at our North Parramatta campus known as Centre for Ministry. It is a multi-skilled position and has responsibility for a range of operational duties including housekeeping, catering, venue presentation, maintenance and security.

The Duty Supervisor will work closely with other onsite staff and the Site Manager to maintain the effective day-to-day operation of the venue.

Key Responsibilities: 

Catering

  • Prepare meals to event requirements, including special dietary requirements
  • Ensure all food is delivered in a timely manner and presented to a high standard
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including food handling, storage and preparation techniques

Stock Control

  • Ensure supplies are adequate and used efficiently
  • Assist in preparation of orders for provisions (order food, count stock, order cleaning supplies, maintaining food preparation areas)

Venue presentation, property maintenance and security

  • Housekeeping duties such as stripping and making beds, cleaning and stocking of rooms between guests, organising for cleaning of bed linen and towels
  • Conduct site inspections for groups and individuals including “welcome-in” talks
  • Assisting in general building maintenance including cleaning air conditioning filters, blocked drains, toilets and the maintenance of lighting
What you will need
  • Previous experience in housekeeping, catering, gardening, grounds work or building maintenance
  • Hold a current or willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check and a Food Safety Supervisor certificate
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and shift work
  • Demonstrated commitment to brilliant customer service including excellent interpersonal and communication skills
