The Role

The Guest Relations Officer (Part-Time) has responsibility for being the key contact person for guests, providing helpful and efficient communication with guests before and during their stay at our North Parramatta venue.

The Guest Relations Officer will work closely with the other venue staff to ensure that the needs of guests are met consistently. The position will play a key role in maintaining key administrative systems for bookings and the venue generally. The Guest Relations Officer will also ensure professional local promotion of Uniting Venues services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing general reception and administration duties
  • Allocating accommodation and meeting rooms for groups, and accommodation for individual guests
  • Preparing agendas and taking minutes of regular supervisor meeting
  • Organising quotes and times for contractors to come in for any maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct group welcome-in talks in a positive manner with clear, concise, essential information

What you will need:

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role
  • Basic understanding of invoicing and accounts
  • Supportive towards others and shows respect and positive regard for them in social situations
  • Puts people first and works effectively with individuals and teams, guests and staff
  • Behaves consistently with clear personal values that complement those of the organisation

  • A high level of energy and drive and the ability to manage pressure and ambiguity in complex multi-faceted settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively lead and deliver operational sustainability.
  • A willingness to work in a Uniting Church organisation with a curiosity and openness to explore faith and spirituality.
